FSG Default Template Question 11 Years ago
Hi Hassan,

I wonder if you can help. If I had lets say 10 different FSG reports and I wanted to publish them using reports manager would each of the FSG report have 10 different default templates? I would be grateful if you could educate me in this area.
Kind regards
Bal

Templates are reports specific. A template is defined for each report. However there is one seeded template called Generic FSG Template that could be used with any report but cannot be modified.

In the same context do we need to set the publish parameters for each and every report in report set? or is there a way we can default the publishing parameter to all reports in the report set. Please advice

If you are talking about "Publishing Parameters" then they are set at the report level.

For example here is a scenario:

1. Run the the Report Set in General Ledger (Reports : Submit : Financial). Be sure to select the output type "XML"

2. Once the above process completes successfully, using a GL responsibility, select the Report Manager 'Publish Report Set' menu option.

3. Select Report Set from LOV
Select Update Report Publishing Parameters for each FSG Report
Select Default Template
Select Storage Location / Report Repository => Folder
Additional Presentation Parameters
Submit Report Publishing Parameters for each FSG Report
Select "Publish" check box for each FSG Report
Select Publish

4. After all requests are completed, view the output from the repository, or from the Publish and Presentation requests.
