Md5 is an optional step to verify if the stage is created properly. If want to skip this step than that is fine. You can proceed further and if any errors come during installation they could be then dealt with at that time.
If you really wish to verify the staging area then you can go back to the step after that. That is to run the md5 comparison. Keep in mind that you should download the md5 file for the version of Oracle Applications that you have downloaded.
