Video 2 is missing for Virtual Machine network con 11 Years, 6 Months ago
Hi Hasan,

I am following exactly your video to install EBS which I know how to install but wants to follow you.So that will complete training as you expect from end users.

I can see your Virutal box video is incomplete. Appears to me one video "video2" is missing.
Please confirm, if required please upload. You are not showing which option you are selecting to configure the network "Host Only " or any
other options.

Please advise.

Regards
Ramnik Gupta

If you know how to install, then please do the installation. You can join me from the point where we start the configuration.

About your question on video 2 is missing. Please explain which video 2? Or simply post the url of the video if applicable. Last I tested, no video was missing. The installation steps were completed. Many members have completed their installation using the same very steps.

About your question on host only, in my videos I have shown all the options I have selected. I even went out of the way to explain the differences between host only, bridge etc and then explained the one which I am using.

If you are stuck please post the error or the screen shot. Feel free to follow your installation method if you like. That should not come in your way of learning functional side of things.

Hi Hasan,

No offence to your style of installation. Your video's are great in all respect. What I mean here , I am leaving my expertise in the field a site and keeping focus what you want us to follow so that I can complete all video and its practical to make my functional knowledge strong. The video I mention where you "Configure Virtual Machine for Network " their suddenly video is getting closed at the end. So not sure which option you are going with your network configuration for Virtual adapter.
Please reply me what exact step you are taking so I will follow the same and would like to sync up with your traning. You may reply to me step what you have taken or review the video that the last part is not displayed or somehow not showing what you really configured. Hope you understand my concern.

Thanks
Ramnik Gupta

I checked the video. It was clear to me that I selected Bridge option and then selected OK.
The video does not seem to be ending abrubtly as well.
It should play for the duration of 12:55. Let me know if that is not the case at your end. I will relook into the video encoding.

If you have a router then I suggest that you select Bridge so that your VM could get its own IP from the router.
And all machines could see it as a separate machine.

Hi Hasan,

It show me only 12 mins video not 12 mins 55 secs. Appreciate your response. My purpose is only that any other person who join your training will benefit completely. Apps DBA is my area so just want help here keep the good quality of the contents with right feedback. This wil beneficial from both sides.

Hope you understand there is a positive attitude behind this not discourage anything. I can give 10/10 the way you are giving the presentation in your vidoes.

I hope my learning experience will be really good once I start following your videos on my machine.

Yes, I do have router but not sure if I need real ip additionally the way you want me to bridge. As far as my undrestanding bridge help the Guest/Host to be accessible from anywhere you want once you set your firewall rules in your router correctly.

Thanks for the nice feedback. It is appreciated.
I am glad to know that you are an Apps DBA. It always makes me happy so that Oracle experts are here in the community.
Sorry about 12 minute video issue. This looks like an encoding issue and I will fix it. The video should play fine on the laptop but I guess it must be ending abruptly on smartphone devices.
Bridge option will give an independent IP to your VM. You dont have to do any settings in the router. Your VM will get the IP automatically, if DHCP is enabled on the router.
