Hi
I am installing the Ebusiness software. In the Database Node configuration, I changed Base directory to /home/Oracle/PROD as per the lecture. I have error message that RW:00000 Unable to write to the following directory. Please check for permissions.

Please help me on this.

This error is usually attributed to the wrong host name settings.
When installing linux which host name did your provide? linux.server or localhost.localdomain? If you did not provide linux.server as host name and domain name than you need to fix that first.

Thanks for the reply. I gave linux.server as host name. In one of the command we made Oracle folder write protected. This may be causing the issue. If i have to re-install linux, how to uninstall the existing linux. Please help me.

If Oracle folder is write-protected than that is causing the issue. Fix the permissions and you will be all set.
If you have to reinstall linux then it is pretty simple.
Delete your virtual machine (also delete file; the option will be given to you) and recreate a new one. Insert your virtual linux media in and boot up the virtual machine.
