md5 checkssum file for EBS MEDIA PACK V7 11 Years, 10 Months ago
hi sir can u please upload and send the link for md5 file for 12.1.1 PACK 7. I think the one we downloaded is for 12.1.1 PACK 6 if i am not wrong. Please clarify. Also let us know how to create the file for any New versions by our self.
I got an 35 warnings while checking the provided md5 with unzipped oracle media pack in staging directory and i noticed u telling that corresponding md5 file should be there while checking it. So, please help me to get it or create it by myself. I am stuck at this point and waiting for ur response.
Thanks,
SMITHA

The checksum file remains the same for every 12.1.1 release. I have not included the checksum for StartCD folder. Each new release of 12.1.1 have an impact on startCD folder and not the other folders. For example 12.1.1.9 would have slightly different content in the startCD folder as compare to 12.1.1.10.
If you could please upload your md5sum output I can investigate further.

Re:md5 checkssum file for EBS MEDIA PACK V7 11 Years, 10 Months ago
hi sir,
when i have downloaded it was pack v6 and it recently got changed to pack v7 in june 4th 2012. When i got warnings, i logged into oracle edelivery and to my surprise it was already pack v7. And as per md5 comparison I think below 3 files changed from v6 to v7.
1. Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 for Linux x86 Rapid Install Databases - Disk 7 (Part 1 of 3)
2. Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 for Linux x86 Rapid Install Databases - Disk 7 (Part 2 of 3)
3. Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 for Linux x86 Rapid Install Databases - Disk 7 (Part 3 of 3)

Rest seems to be all same to v6.

So, can I continue the installation? or do I need the new checksum?
Also, please let me know the checksum for StartCD which you have not included.

Pack v7 md5sum is attached.

Thanks,
Smitha.

I requested you to upload the output of the md5sum not the actual checksum file. I wanted to look at the warning messages.
I do not provide the startCD checksum as the risk is too low for the startCD to be corrupted and startCD changes in every new minor release. You can find startCD checksum files on the metalink website if you like.
You have two options.
Either investigate why you are getting the warnings. For that you need to upload the md5sum output.
Or you can continue with your installation and you can revisit this topic if you find errors at the end. It is easy to restart the installation in case of errors.

Ok, you can do that.
If your stage is corrupted for any reason you will see lots of red marks in the final post-installation checks. If that happens, we can then revisit the issue.

Hi Hasan
I have just completed the verifying the Oracle stage. I am getting one ok status for all the files except for one file “oraAppDB/Disk7/data/stage/data_sys37.zip: FAILED”. I have no idea what to do now. Can I continue the installation? I was just following the steps without any idea what is going on. I have attached the md5_result file for your review
File Attachment:
File Name: md5_result.doc
File Size: 146944
.
Thanks

Continuing the installation without fixing the problem is not recommended as the installation is most likely to fail.
Just open up the existing downloaded files one by one to find out which file is responsible for creating this folder.

oraAppDB/Disk7

Download this file again and rerun the check.
