What about if the client would like to implement SAP Payables and Receivables? In this case, how do we tell the Accounting Setup we plan to use SAP?

Also on the same page, Journal Entry Language: American English. There is no list to choose from. How do I enable other languages such as French (France) or English (United Kingdom), UK or install them? Thank you?

If one wishes to use SAP AP then this is how it would be setup:
1) SAP AP would send business events to Oracle Financial Accounting Hub
2) Oracle Financial Accounting Hub would create accounting entries and send them over to Oracle GL.

You enable other languages through Oracle License Manager. This is a job of a DBA. Few patches need to be applied as well.

(Subledger Accounting Method Owner: Oracle) --> indicates that it's a seeded Accounting method ie. created by Oracle. And it can't be modified eg. Standard Accrual, Standard cash etc.,

You may wounder, then why we say 'SLA as rules based accounting engine and you may put your own rules..'

Yes, you can create your own Accounting method (SLAM) by copying the existing method and tweking it a bit or creating it from scratch. In that case (Subledger Accounting Method Owner will be: User) and this is the final output of SLA which can be further attached to Ledger.
