Problem: Ledger Options "Retained Earning Account 14 Years, 3 Months ago

After creating the Ledger (as per tutorials), I provided the “Retained Earning Account” as 01.3000.00 and clicked “Next”. I received the error message: “You cannot enter an account with a parent segment value”. Thus, I cannot progress to complete my Ledger creation. What have I done wrong? Please, help! Thanks

Is it something to do with: View Hierarchies > Value Hierarchy > Parent Value = 3000 > Children Value ? I really don't know. Please, help!

Looks like you have created either 01 or 3000 or 00 as a parent value. Please check that "parent" is not checked for these values.

Thak you, Hasan. I am sorted out now. I have rectified the problem and ccomplete the Creationg of the Ledger with the Ledger Options. Cheers,
