Best practice is considered a way of doing things that has consistently shown better results.
Oracle publishes the best practices not only in their implementation documentations but also on their metalink website for different functional areas.
As a functional consultant you keep yourselft up to date what Oracle recommends in different areas.
In the videos you have seen an implementation for specific modules and functional areas. For the rest you can refer to the documentations and metalink website. I do regularly add more videos to cover remaining areas.

I am of the opinion that in real life you implement "smart" practice rather than "best" practise. What works with one company may not work with the other.
Therefore there is no single best way of doing things that will work for all.
Sometimes the term "best practice" is often used as a buzz word by consultants to justify standard way of doing things without putting forward real benefits.
I have seen this a lot. For me the smart practice is what is meeting clients' needs the best possible way. I prefer the term smart practice.

Here is an example.
Client needs a custom menu.
Consultant 1: We will use menu exclusions at responsibility level to remove unwanted items. Because this is the best practice.
Consultant 2: We will create a custom menu so that we can redesign the whole menu tree to meet client's requirement.
In this case if you follow the solution put forward as best practice you will end up creating a custom menu with inefficient navigations.
