You can use Mass Allocation for this purpose. Please see the videos related to this topic. I have covered this in detail.
For example lets say total expense for the corporation is $100.
We have three departments 10,20, and 30. We want to divide this expense among the three departments based on their headcounts. We can store the headcount in STAT accounts. Mass Allocation feature will let you allocate the expense.
