Looks like you have created either 01 or 3000 or 00 as a parent value. Please check that "parent" is not checked for these values.

1) Make sure Company values 01, 02 are all Enabled;
2) Make sure Parent checkbox is NOT checked for Company values 01, 02;
3) Make sure Company values 01, 02 are all qualified as:
a) Allow Budgeting is: YES;
b) Allow Posting is: YES;
4) Save your work.
----------------------------------
Make sure the Natural Account 3000 is:
1) Enabled;
2) Allow Budgeting is: YES;
3) Allow Posting is: YES;
4) Account Type is: Ownership/Stockhold;
5) Third Party Control Account is: No;
6) Reconcile is: No;
7) Save your work.
----------------------------------
1) Make sure Department values 00, 01, 02 are all Enabled;
2) Make sure Parent checkbox is NOT checked for Department values 00, 01, 02;
3) Make sure Department values 00, 01, 02 are all qualified as:
a) Allow Budgeting is: YES;
b) Allow Posting is: YES;
4) Save your work.
You’ve got to be patient and follow the above step by step in order to get it right once and for all.
I am sure you should get it right, this time!
Please, let me know how you get on.
Cheers,
Gavrobere

Still shows "posting is not allowed for this account" after I did all that you told me>
What other logical reason can it be from posting?
Thanks for the help as well

1) Are you using a fresh install?
2) What responsibility are you using to log in?
3) Have you set up the profile option for Data Access Set with the value of your responsibility at Responsibility level?
level?
4) Make sure Dynamic Insert in turned on.
Let me know how you get on.

Go to the Setup->Financials->Key->Segments and query up your COA structure. Make sure dynamic insertion is enabled. If not unfreeze your COA structure, enable dynamic insertion and freeze it back.

Did you check if the combination is enabled and if account's Allow Posting property is set to Yes? It may not be related to Data Access Set. You can go to System Administrator and open up System Profiles screen. Query for GL: Data Access Set profile option for this responsibility and see which data access set is specified here. Its name should match with your ledger name. If that is the case then you are ok as far as data access set is concerned.

Either the dynamic insertion should be enabled.
Or the combinations that you want to use in your journals
must already be there in
combinations table (GL Accounts screen).
Also keep in mind that when a combination is created it inherits
properties like postable, account type e.g. from account values.
Once you modify a property of an account value (e.g. account type for 3000) then you must manually modify that property as well for all
the combinations involving that account. Or simply run Segment Value Inheritance program.

I just want to add here - as a last step you need to recompile the flexfield if not already done. That will ensure that all the chnages will get reflected.
Thanks,
Arun

I´m having this problem: "Please make sure the" Profile option GL: Access Set up properly for your responsibility" on accessing Accounts:Combinations.
But I do not understand anything at all what you say about all the Profile stuff. When you say "Query for GL: Data Access Set profile option for this responsibility and see which data access set is specified here.", what responsibility are you talking about? and I can´t see any data access in the screen.
Thanks,
Rodrigo
