Regarding Inventory Organization not showing 14 Years ago  
I am doing the Financial Options Setup in AP and i am not able to get the Inventory Organization in the list and it is the mandatory field showing.Please help

I think you are using Vision Demo database. You are required to provide inventory organization to AP setup if Purchasing is in use. That is why I recommend that you use fresh install in order to learn Financials in a step by step manner.
The only option you have is to create a dummy inventory organization. Log in as one of the Inventory responsibility and create an inventory organization. Enter any account in Accounting Information Section. Also fill in values in Inventory Information Section. Assign this inventory to AP setup.

Hello Hasan,

I tried creating inventory organization in APand got a message as shown in the forum. I created an inventory organisation in inventory with another responsibility and that did not show up in the list of values. So, in that case what is the solution. Could you verify if you have filled in the Accounting Section of the Inventory Organization? That could be the reason that it is now showing up.

Hi Hasan,
Found out that Inventory Information alongwith Accounting Information needs to be setup (in the Others button of Inventory Organization classification). After it is done, the Inventory organization LOV in Financials Option shows a value.

i m using fresh install only 12.1.1. but i m getting inv org field as mandatory..during inv org ...my OU not appearing to fill the accounting information..plsss hasan help me

Looks like you are using Vision instance rather than a Fresh install.
You need to create a dummy inventory organization. Log in as one of the Inventory responsibility and create an inventory organization. Enter any account in Accounting Information Section. Also fill in values in Inventory Information Section. Assign this inventory to AP setup.

Hi Hasan,
When I faced the same issue, I tried creating a dummy Inv Org. In the Accounting information section, I duly filled the Ledger,LE values.
While I tried to select OU, there was no value displayed. Since OU value was optional, I ignored it. But in AP , Financial Options is not displayin this new Inv Org in the LOV. Kindly help me in troubleshooting this issue.
( Please note that I have successfully created OU and attached it to my Payables responsibility. This value is displaued on top of Financial Options window also).

Follow these steps:
1) Find out the Business Group to which your operating unit is assigned to. You can do that by going to Accounting Setup screen in GL. Query your ledger and go to Operating Unit option. The screen will tell you to which Business Group your operating unit is assigned to.
2) Using System Administration responsibility set the values of following two profile options at Site level, to the Business Group associated with your operating unit. (You can also set these options for the responsibility "Inventory":)
HR: Business Group
HR: Security Profile
3) Now login as Inventory and recreate your Inventory organization.
