Unable to open forms 10 Years, 9 Months ago
|
|
Hi Hasan,
I have successfully installed Apps and configured windows t o login to Apps. I am able to login, but not able to open forms. When I click on menu item to open form (Security > User > Define) it is not responding. I have installed Java plug-ins as well
not sure if its issue with IE10, but i have tried with both ie10 and IE8 but no luck.
Can you please let me know what could be the issue here ?
Regards
Vivek

When you say it is not responding, does that mean nothign is happening at all?
Press F12 and change the compatibility mode to IE8.
Also put your url in the trusted sites list via Security Options of IE.
Popup blocked should be off.
Let me know if that solved the problem.

Please answer the answer question that was posted above.
Here it is again:
When you say it is not responding, does that mean nothing is happening at all or do you see any error?
If you see any error then please post the screen shot.
Thanks.

Please try one more thing:
In IE security disable the option: “Enable memory protection to help mitigate online attacks"

I was checking on metalink and found that steps in doc id: 564279.1
Is this applicable for rel 12.1.1 as well ? but i found that this rel is not specified under this doc.

". After that when i click on menu item (Security > User > Define) I am not getting any response and It is not giving any error."
Looks like something is blocking the popups. Uninstall all plugins just in case.
Try it from another computer as well to rule out local issues.
You are right, this metalink note does not include 12.1.1. But this is not a common problem with 12.1.1
In case you can try their solution and see if that works.

Hi Hasan,
Looks like something is blocking the popups. Uninstall all plugins just in case > I have tried this several times but no luck.
Try it from another computer as well to rule out local issues. > Can you explain me how to do this ?
Also, I have raised an SR for this with Oracle and i was asked to do the bleow. Do you think i really need to try these. If so, Can you please explain me the steps for 1 and 2?
-------------------
1. Please use adadmin and do the following and if any steps has been already done successfully , please skip it:
- recreate grants and synonyms
- compile flexfields
- regen jar files - select YES when prompted to force generation of jar files.
- recompile apps (check for invalid objects)
- regen forms and pll's
- relink all apps programs
- recompile menus
- maintain apps schema
2.Relink your 10.1.2 Oracle Home,
3.Run autoconfig
4.Apps bounce should naturally occur with the above steps.
5.Once this is done,
Clear your java cache on your PC -
Under the Control Panel, open the Java icon for the plug-in that you are running.
Then under the 'General' tab, click on the 'Settings...' button under the Temporary Internet Files section.
Click on the button 'Delete Files' to clear your browser cache.
Start a new browser session and retest

You did not mention what happened what you tried it from a different computer. If it did not work from the other computer as well then it is a server issue, otherwise it is client issue.
To execute the above commands simply launch adadmin utility.
Login into linux as Oracle.
go into Apps home folder
cd PROD
cd AP*
cd AP*
cd AP*
how source the environment file.
. <The environment file name>.env
To view teh name of the environment file you can do the following:
ls *.env
Once the environment is sourced, simply enter adadmin. This will launch the utility. You will see various options. Select the option as indicated by Oracle.
