Re:unable tp start services 10 Years, 9 Months ago
Most common causes are:
1) The Linux rpm package was not installed.
2) linux.host is not resolving to 127.0.0.1

Please confirm if the rpm were installed.
Please upload the output of these files:
/etc/hostname
/etc/hosts

Thanks

Hi Hasan,

I have updated the info that you requested. Do we have any solution for this ?

Appreciate your quick response

/etc/hostname is:
linux.server

/etc/hosts is:
127.0.0.1 linux.server linux

I have also installed the linux packages.

Re:unable tp start services 10 Years, 9 Months ago
Hi Hasan,

I have provided the info you asked for in my previous posts. I also tried below steps based on my inputs i got from various forums.

Tried stoping and starting service manaully one by one.
When I check the status (./adopmnctl.sh status) i am getting below error.

Checking status of OPMN managed processes...
Unable to connect to opmn.
Opmn may not be up.

Also tried modifying entries in below files..But still no luck..

in /etc/sysctl.conf file:

kernel.shmall = 2097152

kernel.shmmax = 2147483648

kernel.shmmni = 4096

# semaphores: semmsl, semmns, semopm, semmni

kernel.sem = 256 32000 100 142

fs.file-max = 131072

net.ipv4.ip_local_port_range = 1024 65000

kernel.msgmni = 2878

kernel.msgmax = 8192

kernel.msgmnb = 65535

add in /etc/security/limits.conf file if not present:

* soft nproc 2047

* hard nproc 16384

* soft nofile 2048

* hard nofile 65536

Can you please help me? what could be the issue here.. ?

Regards
Vivek

Very sorry for the late reply. I had to take some time off.
Here is how to check if the package is installed:
http://handsonerp.com/forum.html?func=view&id=3001&catid=2#3001

rpm -q <package name>

Let me know please if the two packages were installed. Thanks.
