Installation Question? 10 Years, 11 Months ago  
Hi, Is it possible to install Oracle apps on an external device? ie, to have VM, linux and apps all installed on an external HD.

Ideally VM software should be installed on local drive. However you can place the VM files on the external drive. People have installed Oracle/VM files on external drive and it seems to work fine. Had to be slightly slower then local drives.
