Remit to Address (AR) 11 Years, 8 Months ago
Hello Hasan,

I was reviewing your video on Remit-To-Address and all I was able to see is the example where you define ALL Customers from around the world using 1 single Remit-to-Address.
.
Can you take a look at another VERY simple scenerio relating to Canada and a Postal Code range.
There are 2 Remit-to-Address.
1 will use Canada
1 will use a small postal code range.
.
The enclosed document will explain.
.
I read the documention, however I didn't get any real comfort in the explaination of how to set it up.
.
Can you elaborate on your video to encompass my simple scnerio.
.
Thank-you

I dont have a full vision of your setup so I cannot really say what is going on. But here are few points:
* Your postal code range for Ottawa is empty. That is why default country address might be picked up, as oppose to Ottawa specific address.
* Make sure you do not put values in State field if you want Canadian postal code range to work. Only use Province field.
* Keep in mind that remit to address is an attribute of AR invoice (transaction). It gets defaulted based on our remit to address rules.
To test new remit to address settings try entering a new transaction. Oracle will default proper address according to your rules.

Hello Hasan,

Thank-you.
My intention was to have a simple REMIT-TO-ADDRESS scenerio
.
If a Transaction is entered where the Customer is witin a specific Postal Code range then used the TORONTO remit-to-address
.
If a Transaction is entered where the Customer is NOT within the specific Postal Code range then use the OTTAWA remit-to-address.
.
I'm trying to set this up.
That's what my attached doc is trying to explain.
How would you set something like this up ?

To implement your requirement two addresses need to be created. One for Canada as a whole (Ottawa Address) and one for Toronto postal code range (Toronto Address).
