After following your video with regards to creating a new Customer via AR. I decided to view if any other Customers are in the system.
I created a Supplier in AP called Business Depot, and when I queried up Customers in AR I was able to view the
Supplier Business Depot using the Customer screen.

Is that normal to be able to view Suppliers from within the Customer screen.

Only Customer info is viewable... there are NO Accounts or Addresses for the Business Depot Supplier/Customer.

Is this normal ?
Why or why now ?

I was just wondering if this "feature" is available so that you can define a Supplier as a Customer.
You would still need to define an Account and Address for this new Customer...

In R12 suppliers are represented in the Trading Community Architecture (TCA). This way you have access to the features provided by TCA for the suppliers.

A party record is created automatically when you create a supplier in AP. Party records are created in HZ_PARTIES table. That party is created for the supplier without any account information.

That is why suppliers set up in Payables could be viewed in Receivables even though they have no account information. The search feature in Receivables gives you both parties and accounts. Since suppliers now have a party record, the Customer screen will show them as well.
