The remote device or resource won't accept the connection Detected

The device or resource (192.168.1.5) is not set up to accept connections on port "8000".

I have a new issue with connectivity to the linux.server. The connection between client and the server drops every 10 minutes. I can ping the server from cmd and I can see the client from the server. I installed IE9 version, disabled XSS, which improved the connectivity a little. But still I experience no connectivity or dropped connections. please help

You must have already disabled the firewall as well on Linux. Both ports 8000 and 9000 must be opened.
I am not sure why you are facing sporadic issues. My best guess is that it could be a network issue.
Try recreating your linux network. Stop the VM. Change MAC address of your linux VM to anything (just add 1 or something). Restart VM. System will give you few messages on the next boot, as new hardware would be detected. Choose to remove the configuration of the old MAC address and configure the new one (during the boot). Also reboot your router just to rule out any glitches there. See if that fixes the problem.
