Unable to schedule recurring journal 12 Years, 1 Month ago
When i tried to schedule recurring journal that i had created, i got an error ORA-20001 APP-FND-02901:You Do Not Have Access Privilege To Any Operating Unit. On seeing this, i change privilege to System Admin, and tried to set profile options under the user account. Searched for MO: Default operating unit. No list of values defined for me to pick from. How do i resolve this issue so that i can schedule implementation of recurring journals?

Thanks.

This has been discussed several times before as well. Just create a dummy operating unit and assign it to the Site level and to your GL responsibility using the profile option MO: Operating Unit.
Recurring journal and mass allocation feature expects that you have assigned an operating unit to the GL. If you are not planning to use subledger then simply create a dummy OU and assign it. You can view first few AP videos to find out how to create OU.

Thanks for the response. However, when i tried to create a dummy MO Operating Unit, i am still getting an error APP_FND_01436: List of Values cannot find any values for you to choose." Cause: The list of value execution failed to find any values". And when i clicked "OK", the only Profile Option name i found in that list is the "MO Default Operating Unit". There is no "MO Operating Unit" that i can assign to responsibility. Any idea what i am missing here, or is it a bug? Thanks.

First of all, what version are you using?
Second is this a VISION install or non-Vision?
The exact name of the profile option is MO: Operating Unit. Are you sure you are searching for the right one. Could you do a search using this string MO%Operating% and post the screen image. Thanks.

After taking the first 20 lectures in the AP course, i have been able to schedule recurring journal execution. There is need for the MO Operating Unit to be available before you can actually schedule recurring journal. Without the MO Operating Unit in place, the system will not allow you to create any dummy OU.For any scheduling to be permitted, there is need for understanding of the AP that allows creation and assignment of OU to LE and Ledger. Going front and back actually gives a better understanding of the lectures. Thanks a lot.

Yes creating operating unit and attaching it to the GL responsiblity (or at Site) is a pre-requisite of running Mass Allocations and Recurring Journals. Good to know that you are benefitting from the lectures.
