Removal of Categories in GL 12 Years, 3 Months ago
Dear Team,
My Question is how to remove the categories in GL that are not in use for the client?

There is no built-in functionality to do that. Common practice is to place "Do not Use" prefix.
I have shown a workaround method in the videos that involves using Descriptive Flexfields (DFF) and Personalizations. You can view these videos in Personalization section. http://handsonerp.com/oracle-financials-tutorials/70-17-oracle-e-business-suite-personalizations.html

Alternative to what HasanBhai suggests is to use forms personalization to display only those that they use in the LOV.

That does not look like an alternative. That looks like the solution I provided to use Forms personalizations to display restricted list. The default LOV contains all values. You need to restict the list using some feature like DFF, along with personalizations.
