For the Journal Approval, is that possible to use Approval Management Engine(AME) ?

General Ledger has not committed to integrating journal approval with AME yet. Following Enhancement Request is logged already to potentially allow this functionality in future:

Bug 7504287: Journal Approval to be Integrated with Approvals Management (AME)
