Permission Error on linux 12 Years, 4 Months ago  
I am getting the attached permission error while running the setup.

I am doing the installation as oracle user, still the problem is happening.

Check the folder in which you are installing Oracle.
Make sure if the base folder is owned by Oracle user.
Then take a look at on which directly Rapidwiz is complaining about. (Log file will help)

Data base type : Fresh
Database SID = PROD
Domain : Server
Base Directory : /d01/oracle/PROD
Base Directory : /d01/oracle/PROD/install
Port: O

Moreover when I go to my computer / files system and try to create folder through file option, create folder option is disabled. how can i enable this.may be due to this error is comming.

You are not installing Oracle in Oracle home.
Please follow the videos as they are are, to avoid issues.
Oracle's home is /home/Oracle
Even the case matter in Unix. oracle is not the same as Oracle.
In your case Oracle user does not have permissions on d01

You are suppose to do installating in Oracle home /home/Oracle not in /d01/oracle
Your directories are wrong.

now changed the setting as

Details are as

You are neither following the videos properly nor following my instructions.
Please go back to video and make sure all text matches correctly.
I have explained you earlier in Unix "oracle" is not the same as "Oracle".
