I have found a workaround for my ethernet problem by moving the virtual machine and then resets the mac address. Now when I try to start the database I get the following error ora-03113 end-of-file on communication channel.

Any ideas?

Resetting the Mac address does solve network issues. I have recommended this method as well to others in various threads. However I am not sure if that has anything to do with ora-03113.

ORA-03113 End-Of-File error often has additional messages. Usually it is accompanied by other errors like:
ORA-01012 not logged on O
RA-01041 internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist
ORA-03114 not connected to ORACLE

Do you see any other errors?

I would run autoconfig before digging deep into log files.

What is AutoConfig?
====================
AutoConfig is a tool that supports automated configuration of an Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 instance.
All the information required for configuring an Applications instance is collected in local repositories, called the context file.
When AutoConfig runs, it uses information from the context file to generate all configuration files and update database profiles.

How is AutoConfig Run?
======================
Sign in into Linux as Oracle.
cd PROD
cd apps
cd apps_st
cd appl
Source the envornment file
. APPSPROD_linux.env
cd $INST_TOP
cd admin
cd scripts
adautocfg.sh
It will prompt you for apps password.
Auto-config will be run.
