Business Group Structures 12 Years, 8 Months ago
Hello

Does the group structure of a Business group has an effect on what kind of operating unit we are going to create?
For eg. The structure of Approval towards invoices, workflow and so on.....
In short:
The relationship between the Business group structures and kinds in regards to operating Unit.
Or, are there set of rules or ways( of structure) that I have to look for before creating a new business group or for that matter to choose from the existing ones?

Thank You

An operating unit is attached to a business group.
Business group dictates which employees will be available in your operating unit.
Lets say you have two operating units OU1 and OU2. You want the same list of employees to be visible in both. Then you will attach both operating units to the same business group BG1. If you want separate list of employees to be visible in each operating unit then you will assign OU1 to business group BG1 and OU2 to business group BG2.
Employees are used in approval limits definitions i.e. how much amount one employee can approve in terms of requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, journals etc.
