You cannot enter an account with a parent segment value. (This is the error message i'm getting.) Can someone please help??

I have explained this in videos are well.

You cannot use parent values in journal entries.
For example, lets say you have following detailed account values created in the system:
1000 - CASH
1100 - RECEIVABLES
And you have created one parent value in natural account segment:
9000 - ASSETS
You cannot use 9000 in journal entries. You can only use 1000 and 1100.
You can however use 9000 in Inquiry screen and in FSG reports.
The purpose of a parent value is to group various detailed accounts together and hence it does not make sense to use a parent value in journal entries.
