CE UMX Security Wizard-Bank Account Creation 13 Years, 7 Months ago
Dear mr Hassan,

I am unable to run CE UMX security wizard from user management responsibility to grant ownership to my legal entity for creating bank account.
After choosing the responsibilities from Roles&Role inheritance, the update button disabled.
the user management responsibilty has been assingned to my user name since the access to user name SYSADMIN has been restricted.

Can you please help me in this regards

Apologies for the late reply. Here is how you can give your user the same privileges as SYSADMIN but for that you will need to login as SYSADMIN as well.

When a role is assigned to a user, the user obtains all of the access privileges defined for that role and for all of its sub roles.
This is called role inheritance and is a new feature of R12.

In order a user has Security Administrator priviledges the user needs to have inherit the Security Administrator Role.

Security Administrators manage all user accounts in the system, and can assign / revoke all roles. Security Administrators also manage system accounts (such as GUEST), that are not tied to a person.

Follow these steps. You will need access to SYSADMIN for this as well.

1. Log into the applications As SYSADMIN
2. Choose User Management responsibility.
3. Navigate to Users web page.
4. Search and find the user you want to inherit the Security Administrator Role.
5. Click on Update Icon.
6. Click on Assign Roles button.
7. Find and choose 'Security Administrator' Role.
8. Apply.
9. Log as the user you have assigned 'Security Administrator' Role.
