Are you having this issue when entering a value in item field?
The list of values on item field is only available when you have order management module implemented. You can enter transaction lines using the description field. You can setup standard memo lines that would appear in the pick list on description field. Please follow the demonstration in the videos.

Hi Hassan,
I have managed to sort out this error. Soon as i created a standard memo line i was able to overwrite the description and create an AR invoice. Not receiving this error any more.
Thanks

Once you create standard memo lines you should be able to choose them from the description field pick list.

Thanks Bal, I sorted out this error creating an inventory organization (as Hassan indicated in another post). Then I entered to order management responsability and assigned the inventory organization to the parameter "Item Validation Organization" in OM System Parameters window.

Hi Hassan, I created standard memo lines and I was able to pick them from the description field, but the error (ORA-20001: Please define the item validation organization in the Parameters window in Order Management) persisted. Finally, I avoided the error as I describe in my previous reply to Bal.
Thanks Hassan, please keep up the good work!

That workaround will work.
Typically you need to create inventory organization in order to implement Receivables.
I am investigation if things have changed in most recent releases in Oracle around this area. If that is the case then I will adjust the videos accordingly. Thanks.

Hi Hasan / Bal / cesar 2565 ,
I was going through you conversation you had earlier and I really appreciate if you could please help me with this issue I have right now. I`m kind of struck with AR Transactions with this problem.
I started learning AR and came to Entering Transactions video. I have the error ORA-20001: Please define the item validation organization in the Parameters window in Order Management and I was searching for the error and came across your conversation.
I understood there are two solutions here in the conversation and I thought I will try both and unfortunately nothing is working for me
1. I created a Standard Memo lines and I still have the problem.
2. I saw the post from cesar2565 and tried that too, but when I go to my Order Management responsibility and try to assign the Inventory Organization I have created through Inventory Responsibility, I cannot see the list of values of the Inventory Organization to assign it to the Item Validation Organization in OM Responsibility > System Parameters.
Please see detailed Screen shots what I have and what I did.
Hasan , Could you please guide and help me how I can overcome this problem so that I can continue my AR training. I spent so many hours trying to figure out, but I could not resolve this.
Please help me. Please let me know if you have any questions. I`m attaching a detailed screen shots what I have and what I did.
Many Thanks.

Bal,
Please see the attached document with the issue. Concentrate on PAGE 6 in the attached document.
When you go to Inventory responsibility and try to enter some information for the Inventory Org, along with the "Accounting Information" , you also need to enter some dummy accounts (mandatory fields) for "Inventory Information" in the Additional Organization Information screen.
Enter Accounting Information and Inventory Information and save your work and tru saving the transactions now.
This is how I got it working.
Thanks.

Bal,
Looks like you are offering me help and trying to ask me if I have solved this issue.
I just went through the previous posts and seems like you already got it working by creating a standard memo line.
Thought you are asking for a solution.

Hi ERPKumar,
Great I was just going over what I had done sometime back and remembered I got stuck on this. I did quite a lot of searching on meta link. The security profiles also play a part in getting this working.
Great that you have got this working.
