Hi ,
I am trying to default a Account FF segment value, example, company 100 in GL for example so that the responsibility that entered the data will trigger the default value.
Any idea how I can easily achieve that, pleas.
My Account code combination is like this:
0000-99999-00-100
I want 100 to default based on the Responsibility.

Sorry, Jgood. Your requirment is not very clear. How can the responsibility be linked to values in the flefield?

Lets say you want default value 100 to appear in responsibility A and 200 to appear in responsibility B in company segment.

1) Create a custom profile lets call it Company
Use Profile screen of Application Developer responsibility
2) Assign value 100 to this profile for responsibility A and 200 for responsibility B.
Use System Profile screen of System Administrator responsibility
3) Choose Default Type "Profile" and Default value "Company" in the definition of your Company Segment of chart of account structure.
