Re:Unable to connect to R12 14 Years ago
Yes, I did. But I wanted to confirm the ipaddress and went to the guest machine to obtain it again. Here's what happened? I am attaching the message. It did not have the Ip address?

Is your host connected to the net via a router?
What is the ip address of the router?
You can find that out by issuing "ipconfig" command from host.

Your Oracle services are running fine.
Your Lnux network is not configured properly.
Once that is fixed, you would be able to connect to guest
server from host client.

Re:Unable to connect to R12 14 Years ago
I did that and the ip address is 192.168.1.102 but the ip address returned by guest machine is 192.168.1.105 now. How do I resolve this?
I have already changed the IP address at the host file to 192.168.1.102.

Let me know, Thanks,

Arun

Change the IP address at host file to 192.168.1.105

Restart your browser.

Did it work?

Re:Unable to connect to R12 14 Years ago
It did not work even after changing the host file IP address because the guest machine ip address retuned is different. When I key in the http://linux.server:8000/apslogin it takes lot of time and then is uanble to resolve this address.
Let me know what I should do to resolve this now.

Regards,

Arun

I thought you said guest machine ip address is 192.168.1.105?
Is that true?

Re:Unable to connect to R12 14 Years ago
As I said the guest machine IP address I am getting as 192.168.205 but when I do the ipconfig in the host machine I am getting 192.168.102. I changed back the host file to 192.168.1.105 as directed by you but that did not work. The apps log in URL is still returning DNS error.

What should I do to resolve the anomally?

Re:Unable to connect to R12 14 Years ago
Hello Hasan,

Today I rebooted the machine and started afresh. I faced the same problem. ./adstrtal.sh apps/apps exited with status 4. Currently I am trying to stop all the services and running the command to start again. The question is why did it again exit status 4? Hiw can I resolve the issue of login to Orapps?

Regards,

Arun

I ran the command ./adstrtal.sh apps/apps( I got Status 4) and then /adcmctl stop apps/apps (I got status 1) and then ./adstrtal.sh apps/apps( I got a status 4). Please let me know what I should do to resolve this. Would you need any log file screenshot?

How much memory have you dedicated to your virtual machine? Is it 2 GB at least?

Re:Unable to connect to R12 14 Years ago
Yes, ot is 2GB. Could it be that I have stopped some services in host machine by mistake?
The internet in host machine still does not work.
Thanks,

Arun

Re:Unable to connect to R12 14 Years ago
You are confusing me here.
Lets take a step back. I need 3 things.
Your host ip address, your router ip address, your guest ip address.
Please post following 2 images please:
1) output of ipconfig command on host system.
2) output of ifconfig command on guest file (I know you already did that
but please do it again as you said your guest ip has changed). Do this as root user.
And please do not do reboots. Thanks.

Ok so the ip address of your client is 192.168.1.105.

Can you ping 192.168.1.105 from your host?

ping 192.168.1.105

Hello Hasan,
Just wanted to let you know that 4 Oracle services failed to start. They are adoafmctl.sh,adoaformstl.sh,adoacorectl.sh & adpcctl.sh.
I am attaching the last few lines screenshot of the log file adstrtal.log. Let me know if you need anything else.

Re:Unable to connect to R12 14 Years ago
Looks like we are back to square one.
Lets focus on starting Apache first. Although looks like a common problem
is causing all these services to error out.
1) Did you try stopping and restarting services? It worked for you last time?
2) I need following files as attachment please. (Not screen shot).
$LOG_HOME/ appl/ admin/ log/ adapcctl.txt
$LOG_HOME/ ora/ 10.1.3/ opmn/ HTTP_Server~1
$LOG_HOME/ ora/ 10.1.3/ Apache/ error_log.[number] & access_log.[number] (with latest timestamp)
One of these files will have the error information for Apache.
Thanks
