Summary Account Creation Problem 14 Years, 4 Months ago  
I create a segment "HOE Company" with Format Type "char" without any numeric
or Uppercase constraint. but when I enter child values IT or AC in "EN" company
i get error that only 0-9 is allowed. screen shot is attached

You must have originally created this value set with "Numbers Only" option checked.
See if compiling your flexfield fixes the issue. Also run "General Ledger Generate Flexfield" program for your flexfield.
