Create Oracle Stagging 14 Years, 4 Months ago  
Hi,
Could you please tell me, in the video of "Creating Oracle Staging Area", when you unzip the file, i am getting a error msg as " cannot create extraction directory".

Could you please let me know that do we have to create the folder before hand and than unzip the files, if yes could you let me know how and where ?

if not what is the solution for this issue please.

You should be logged in as Oracle. Looks like you do not have permission on Oracle folder.

You need to sign in as Oracle user in order to unzip files in Oracle folder. Make sure that is what you are doing.
Verify if Oracle user can create files in the stage folder. You can use linux "touch" command to do that.

e.g. touch newfile.txt
