Installing R12 12 Years, 3 Months ago  
Hi,
I know you gave comprehensive tutorial on R12 Installation, but please can you tell me if it's possible to install R12 on 100 GB with 1000 mem, and 500 gb of external hard disk. The intention is to put all the files on the external hard disk. If this is possible, please can you advise how to proceed if after downloading all the R12 installation files from edelivery.

I would suggest either install solely on internal drive or on external drive. Splitting would be complex. That is possible if you are technically sound.

The best way to do the installation on the external drive would be to create virtual machine on external drive. As simple as that. Plug in the external drive when you need to use Oracle. Fire up your virtual machine software and you will be all set.

Thanks for your reply on r12 installation on external drive . I will try that soon. i already have the files ready from Edelivery.
