Cannot call apps from windows 15 Years, 9 Months ago  
I installed the oracle apps and followed all the neccessary steps as u have explained. I got my IP and wrote into the host file in windows but i could not call oracle apps from windows enviroment using firefox and internet explorer.
Please help as iam stuck.I could only load apps in linux using konqueror browser but very slow.Hassan please help, this is the second time i am posting the same question

Sorry if I have missed your first post.

First thing you should do is see if can see your Linux IP from Windows.

1) Find out your Linux IP using ifconfig command as I have explained.
2) Open on shell environment of Windows (Start->Run-cmd) and enter this command:

ping <linux IP>

Do you see this IP?

If no, then the problem is in your virtual machine networking.

If yes, then the problem is in your HOST file.
