Hi Hassan,

After I started Rapid wizard for installing the oracle ebusiness suite the pre instalation checks all was green and so I started the installation. Then after the installation was complete the following were in red
http, virtualdirectory, login page, DBC file Help page JSP
When I picked on each of them it is giving a message like server not available something like that. I closed the rapid wizard I dont how to check the message again. I dont understand the problem also. Can you please advise how to see the message again in rapid wizard. Is it something related to IP address? how do I fix this issue. My pre instation check were fine Why my post installation created an issue. Please help Thank you chandra

Sorry for the late reply. You can always check the message again by looking into log file the rapidwiz produced. However a better way would be to try starting the services yourself and see which service is failing and then look into the log file of that particular services. This is exactly what rapidwiz is doing itself too.

Most common causes for these problems are:
1- Required linux packages are not installed. This results into apache service not starting.
2- The stage was corrupt (files were not downloaded properly or files were missing from stage).

Questions for you:
Did you install the two required packages?
Did you perform integrity test on your stage?

Next go into this video directly:
http://handsonerp.com/oracle-financials-tutorials/76-03-oracle-e-business-suite-installation-inst/6346-starting-oracle-applications-services.html

and try starting Oracle services from the linux prompt. See which service is not starting with status 0. We will then have to look into log file for that particular service to find out what is going on.

You need to type in commands to start Oracle services. The commands are shown in the video url given above.
If any of the service is not starting with status 0 then we need to look into the log file of that particular service. We can cross this bridge once step 1 is completed i.e. to find out the problematic service.
